Mariangela Palladino is Hematologist and Assistant Medical Director at Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition Unit at University Hospital Umberto I, Rome. She formerly worked as Assistant Medical Director at Emergency Department at University Hospital Umberto I and International Transplantation Center for Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia, Rome. She was a Doctoral Fellow in the Laboratory of Vascular Biology and Genetics, Institute of Medical Pathology and Medical Semiotics, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, and in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA.
After graduating from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 2003, she specialized in Hematology, obtained a PhD in Technological Applications in Onco-Hematology at the same University, a Second-Level Master Degree in Aesthetic Medicine at Tor Vergata University, and a Second-Level Master Degree in Clinical research: Methodology, pharmacovigilance, legal and regulatory aspects at Sapienza Unversity in Rome.
Her main research interests are biology and therapy of hematological malignancies and cardiovascular diseases.
She has gained many awards and fellowships, she is member of several scientific societies, she is author of many peer-reviewed publications and abstracts presented at national and international meetings, and 1 book chapter on sarcomas.
